Math- www.studyisland.com This is a GREAT source of math practice and information for your student. They can go online and practice at anytime for all of the topics for the CRT testing which will take place the week of April 26-30. The math test will be Tuesday, April 27. Students should be drinking plenty of water, getting lots of rest, and taking study time to clarify any topics they are unsure of. The week of April 19 - 23 we will be reviewing in class and in the computer lab. Homework will be to practice on study island.
Science: We will continue to review math concepts that will be a part of the upcoming CRT Tests. We will take another look at ratios and will work on solving word problems.
English: We will be reading Parzival, and working on CRT skills.
Geography: We will be continuing to work on CRT review. We are reviewing basic geography skills.

Week of 12/7- 12/11
Science- On December 8th, Tues. We will have a test over Chapter 8. We will begin our study of Genetics that will continue until the holiday break.
English - We will continue our study of Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol". On Thursday we will be taking a field trip in order to view the film version of "A Christmas Carol".
Geography - We will complete our study of Africa. We will be starting our Africa countries projects. If your child has a shoe box they would like to bring for the project, they will recieve extra credit points.
Pre-Algebra and Accelerated Pre-Algebra will both be starting our study on percent. Both classes will also be starting to work on a project that will be due December 16. The students will work in groups of 3-4 to construct a model and scale drawing of either a skate park or a gingerbread house. Details to come soon.
